Common questions about appliance repair
Straight answers to the questions people ask most.
Frequently asked
Do you do the repairs yourselves?
No. We are an advertising and referral service, not the technicians. You are connected with a qualified appliance repair provider serving Toledo, then that provider handles the visit, the diagnosis, and the pricing with you directly.
Is there a fee just to come out?
Usually there's a diagnostic or service fee, and many providers apply it toward the repair if you proceed. Ask up front — a good provider is clear about it.
Is it worth repairing, or should I replace?
In a metro with a large stock of older, hard-working appliances, age matters as much as the invoice. A usual rule of thumb is to replace if the repair runs more than about half the cost of a comparable new unit. The referred provider can run that math with you before you commit; this site does not quote the job.
Can you get parts for an older appliance?
Often yes, though for very old or discontinued models parts can be the deciding factor. A provider can check availability as part of the diagnosis.
How soon can someone come out?
That depends on the provider's schedule. A refrigerator or freezer that's warming up is usually treated more urgently than a cosmetic issue.
